Notice of Offices for Which Candidates are to be Nominated at the August 4, 2020 Primary Election
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to persons wishing to file a declaration of candidacy to appear as a candidate for nomination at the primary election that filing will open on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. and will continue until Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
Filing for the following offices will take place in the office of the Honorable John R. Ashcroft, Missouri Secretary of State, in the James C. Kirkpatrick State Information Center at 600 West Main Street in Jefferson City, Missouri:
Governor
Lieutenant Governor
Secretary of State
State Treasurer
Attorney General
Representative in Congress, District 8
State Senator, District 27
Member of the House of Representatives, District 146
Member of the House of Representatives, District 147
Circuit Judge, Circuit No. 32, Division 1
FURTHER NOTICE IS GIVEN that filing for the following offices will take place in the office of Kara Clark Summers, County Clerk, Cape Girardeau County in the Cape Girardeau County Administration Building, 1 Barton Square, Suite 301, Jackson, Missouri. For candidates filing for office on the first day of filing, ballot order will be determined by random drawing. Candidates filing after 5:00 p.m. on the opening day of filing will be placed on the ballot in the order in which they file.

Declarations of candidacy may be filed for the following political officers who are to be elected at the Primary Election:
Precinct, Township, or Ward Committeeman as Determined by the County Central Committee of each Established Political Party
Precinct, Township, or Ward Committeewoman as Determined by the County Central Committee of each Established Political Party
In addition, such offices as become vacant by expiration of term, by death or resignation of incumbent or vacant for any cause, and which under the law, should be filled at the general election to be held November 3, 2020.
