News from the Collector’s Office – 2022 Tax Bills

Real Estate and Personal Property tax bills are being mailed. If you do not receive your tax bills by Thanksgiving, please call our office so we can get them to you. Per State Statutes, Failure to receive a tax bill does not relieve a taxpayer of his/her obligation to pay the taxes when due.

Tax billing information can be found at https://municipalonlinepayments.com/capegirardeaucounty (or the Municipal Online Payment box already on website).

Tax bills may be paid online at https://billpay.forte.net/CAPEGIRARDEAUCOMOTAX/ with an additional fee (or the pay taxes online box already on website).

All 2022 tax bills are due on December 31, 2022.  If mailing, please make sure to get the official post office postmark on your envelopes on or before December 31st.

Anything postmarked or paid after December 31st will be late and interest and penalties will apply.

Plan ahead — The offices in Cape and Jackson will be closed on Saturday, December 31, 2022.
