About the Industrial Development Authority Board

The Industrial Development Authority Board is a seven person board appointed for the purpose of developing commercial, industrial, agricultural and manufacturing facilities in Cape Girardeau County. Projects requesting industrial development bonds are submitted to the County Commission via the Industrial Development Authority Board, as per statutes 349.010 through 349.105. There have been approximately twenty-four (24) bond issues facilitated by the IDA in the past thirty-one years, ranging from $18 million dollar projects to $200,000 dollar projects.
