About the Enhanced Enterprise Zone Board
The Enhanced Enterprise Zone Board is a seven person board appointed by the County Commission, comprised of one representative from the Public School Districts, one representative from the taxing entities, one representative from the City of Cape Girardeau, one representative from the City of Jackson and three from the County Commission.
The board’s responsibilities include advising the County Commission on the designation of the Enhanced Enterprise Zone and any other advisory duties as determined by the County Commission; review and assess applications within the Enhanced Enterprise Zone; and submit an annual report to the Missouri Department of Economic Development regarding the status of the zone and business activity therein. No budgetary responsibilities.
