HISTORY OF THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
 STEPHEN N. LIMBAUGH 1955 - 1958
| Stephen N. Limbaugh, twenty-second prosecuting attorney, was born in Cape Girardeau on November 17, 1927. He graduated from Southeast Missouri State College in 1950 and from the University of Missouri law school in 1951. He served two terms as prosecuting attorney and was city attorney of Cape Girardeau from 1964 to 1968. For over 30 years he practiced law with the firm founded by his father, Rush H. Limbaugh, and served as President of the Missouri Bar Association in 1982-83. In 1983 he was appointed by President Ronald Reagan to serve as a U.S. District Court Judge for the Eastern District of Missouri, a position he still holds. |
