Coming To Court

If you are called or subpoenaed by the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, please arrive at the Courthouse promptly at the time requested.

As soon as you arrive, please report to the courtroom indicated on your subpoena.

You might also want to check in with the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office to let us know you have arrived.

WARNING: There are two courthouses in Cape Girardeau County. Thus, it is important to check your subpoena or notification letter to make sure you are coming to the correct courthouse. One is in Cape Girardeau and the other is in Jackson. Most criminal cases are held in Jackson, but sometimes a trial or hearing might be held in Cape Girardeau. Look at the subpoena or letter carefully.
